Zachary C. Garthe
Mr. Garthe attended a top-tier law school, Georgetown University Law Center, during which time he was selected for a coveted internship with the United States Department of Justice, specifically in the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property section.
After graduating (and winning a world-championship at the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition), Mr. Garthe went on to work at the 7th most prestigious law firm in the world, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, working in their patent litigation department. Mr. Garthe had the honor of representing globally recognized brands such as Under Armour, Samsung, Dow Chemical, and Apple, in matters involving their patented technology.
Mr. Garthe returned to his hometown of Denver, and became general counsel for a start-up company that grew to a global consumer-product brand with a thriving business on Amazon.com. Knowing his background, Amazon.com’s patent lawyers invited Mr. Garthe to provide feedback during the development and beta testing of Amazon’s Utility Patent Neutral Evaluation Process.
Mr. Garthe later joined Cambridge Law and has since started his own firm, Copernicus Law, bringing his vast patent litigation experience to major companies and brands nationwide.
